Miranda Ward, LMFT works primarily with couples and families, specializing in complex relational dynamics and diverse identities. She helps clients explore the stories that shape their relationships—past and present—to better understand the patterns behind recurring conflict. Clients consistently describe feeling safe and supported in sessions, which allows for deeper conversations, emotional insight, and meaningful growth.
Miranda primarily draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) through a family systems lens, integrating the science of attachment to open opportunity for repair between partners and family members. She has obtained Advanced Training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, and continues to expand her expertise. Her work also incorporates elements of Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic interventions, and the Gottman Method (Level 2). In every approach, she seeks additional training to ensure her interventions remain responsive, inclusive, and evidence-based. Clients in Miranda’s care can expect a safe, collaborative, and emotionally attuned environment where all feelings are valid and explored with curiosity. Sessions often slow down the pace of interaction to build awareness and create space for genuine connection. Through this process, couples and families learn to transform conflict into understanding and develop new relational patterns that promote healing and closeness. With over 18 years of experience supporting family systems, Miranda brings deep expertise in working with neurodivergent individuals, traumatic brain injuries, ADHD, and families impacted by disability. She also has extensive experience with non-traditional couples and families, including those navigating addiction, trauma (PTSD/C-PTSD), intimacy concerns, blended or court-involved family systems, and partnerships across diverse gender identities. She has a special interest in relationships managing OCD and families supporting adolescents with disordered eating. Currently only daytime appointments are available. |
