Adolescent, Teen and Adult Therapist
Meet Joshua. Joshua considers it a privilege to walk alongside adolescents and adults. It is human to need support. He understands that starting a therapy relationship means someone is ready to explore the steps of meaningful change and relief. Joshua has experience working with both teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity exploration, and major life transitions. He utilizes evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while recognizing that techniques alone do not create lasting healing. Real change happens within a therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported. Clients and colleagues alike find Joshua to be warm and accepting. He intentionally creates a space that feels steady and grounded — while also incorporating appropriate humor and moments of levity. Therapy can be deep and transformative without feeling heavy all the time. Joshua’s style is collaborative and direct, helping clients move toward clarity rather than avoidance. Joshua brings both professional training and personal insight to his work with individuals healing from trauma, religious harm, and identity disruption. He understands the complexity of rebuilding self-trust, redefining values, and reclaiming autonomy after painful or controlling experiences. His approach is nonjudgmental and steady, supporting clients as they strengthen boundaries and reconnect with a clearer sense of self. Clients often experience Joshua as thoughtful, grounded, and genuine. He believes therapy should feel collaborative — a place where honesty is welcomed, laughter is allowed, and growth feels possible. |
