Clarity begins in connection
Relationships are where we go to feel safe, seen, and connected—and they’re also where old hurts, stress, and protective habits tend to show up. Over time, many couples find themselves arguing about the same things, feeling alone in the relationship, or shutting down to avoid being hurt.
At Clarity Therapy & Consulting, we understand that these patterns don’t appear out of nowhere. They often develop in response to stress, trauma, depression, ADHD, anxiety, and other life experiences. While those patterns may have once helped you cope, they can also create distance, tension, and confusion in your relationship.
Couples therapy offers a structured space to slow down, understand what is happening between you, and begin to respond differently. Our therapists help you see the cycle you’re caught in—not just who is “right” or “wrong”—so you can move toward more safety, connection, and clarity with one another.
We work with a wide range of relationships, including dating, engaged, married, remarried, co-parents, military couples, and non-traditional partnerships. If you’re looking for a relationship that feels more secure, emotionally connected, and resilient, couples therapy can be a powerful step.

We specialize in relationship-focused, evidence-informed care. That means we don’t just talk about communication—we help you understand why the same arguments keep happening and what’s happening underneath them.

What if my partner isn't sure about attending
It’s very common for one partner to feel more ready than the other. Ambivalence does not mean your partner doesn’t care or that therapy won’t work.
Our couples therapists are relational and non-judgmental in their approach. If your partner is willing to attend—even if they’re skeptical—we will work to create a space that feels safe for both of you. Part of our early work often involves naming those hesitations, clarifying goals, and making sure each person feels heard in the process.

Aren't all Couples Therapists the same
Not exactly. All therapists bring care and skill, but not all have specialized training in couples work.
Research consistently shows that the quality of the relationship between you and your therapist is one of the most important factors in successful therapy. It’s important that you feel comfortable, understood, and confident in your therapist’s ability to help.

Does insurance cover Couples Therapy
Many of our couples sessions can be billed to insurance when one partner has a mental health diagnosis (such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, etc.) and the relationship is part of supporting that person’s overall wellbeing.
Our team handles the details so you don’t have to.
We’ll check your benefits, explain your options in plain language, and let you know exactly what your coverage looks like before you begin.
If insurance isn’t the right fit for your situation, we also offer private-pay options that may provide greater flexibility and more room for relationship-focused work.
Either way, we’ll walk you through the process and help you choose the option that works best for your relationship.
