Meet Alison. Alison understands that relationships are complex, and navigating them can feel overwhelming at times. The focus of their work is to increase deeper understanding of the inner dynamics that impact communication and connection. They want to help clients begin to show up in their lives with the people you care about. Their work is deeply rooted in the belief that when we create space for all the parts of you — even the ones that feel conflicted or unsure — real clarity, confidence, and connection become possible. With 14 years of experience in mental health, their work is grounded in both clinical depth and real-world practicality. Their career began in community mental health, where they spent years working with individuals and families directly in their homes and communities. This shaped their belief that healing should fit into real life, not the other way around, and it continues to guide the way she supports clients today. Alison is fully trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with 9 years of experience, including traditional DBT and CBT for substance use disorders. They are IFS Level 2 trained and holds CAADC, Certified of Alcohol and Drug Counselor. They integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO), DBT, and CBT to help clients move past stuck points and into healthier, more connected ways of relating. These modalities help people understand the “why” behind their patterns and build sustainable, compassionate change. Alison has a strong passion for working with neurodivergent clients. They are deeply committed to neurodivergent-affirming care and work extensively with adults who identify as ADHD, autistic, AuDHD, or otherwise neurodivergent. Their goal is to reduce shame, support sensory and emotional needs, and help clients understand how their nervous system and internal parts shape their relationships, communication, and daily routines. From Alison: I especially love working with neurodivergent folks who want to rediscover their joy — those whose minds are fast, nonlinear, curious, or intensely passionate. Therapy with me welcomes your tangents, your deep dives, your humor, and the way your brain naturally moves. My style is structured enough to create clarity, but flexible enough to honor the unique ways neurodivergent brains think, feel, and relate. Whether you're navigating executive functioning challenges, sensory overwhelm, emotional intensity, or relationship dynamics, I meet you with curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for how your brain is wired. Alison is also passionate about working with LGBTQ+ clients, people navigating life transitions, and individuals and families with nontraditional structures, including ethical non-monogamy and chosen family systems. They love working with clients who are ready to rediscover their joy — people who want therapy to feel real, authentic, and sometimes even a little bit fun. Humor, swearing, and podcast recommendations are absolutely welcome in the room. Whether you’re working through conflict, rebuilding trust, redefining your identity, or seeking deeper connection, her goal is to help you feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood. If you're ready to understand yourself more deeply and create relationships that feel meaningful, grounded, and secure, she wants to help you take the next step. Currently evening availability. |
